Kapil Sharma then decided to tease the couple with a question on Rio’s birth. Suresh Raina’s baby boy was born on the day PM Narendra Modi announced the nationwide lockdown in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. When Kapil Sharma asked whether it was planned, Raina responded, “Hum pehle se hi planning kar rahe the, lockdown mein nahi kiya (We had planned before itself. It was not done in lockdown).

Suresh Raina announced his retirement from international cricket on the same day as MS Dhoni did on August 15, 2020.
